Happy New Year! I hope you all had an enjoyable and restful festive break. For those of you who have just started your studies with us, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our Royal Holloway community.

Term two starts tomorrow, (10 January 2022) and the measures we have put in place to minimise the transmission of Covid-19 on campus means that, as planned, and in line with instruction from the Department for Education, we will continue to deliver, on campus, all modules that are timetabled as in-person during term two.

The health and safety of our College community remains a top priority as we welcome you back to campus. As you return, it is therefore important that everyone continues to play their part to help protect you and everyone on campus.

When you return to campus, you should ensure that you have registered a negative lateral flow test within 24 hours of arriving on campus. All students are then expected to continue to take lateral flow tests at least twice a week. We also continue to expect face coverings to be worn while indoors, including libraries, teaching rooms, lecture halls and laboratories. More information about term two, testing and face coverings can be found in the newsletter below and on the student intranet.

Alongside your studies, there are a number of different ways you can get involved in student life and meet new people. The start of a new year is a great time for you to get involved with one of the Students' Union's many clubs or societies. They are also running their Give It A Go events again this term, which provide you with a great way to take a break from your studies. More information can be found below.
