https://www.instagram.com/RH_Wellbeing/Supporting your health and wellbeing is important because we know that there are many ups and downs in university life that are easier to navigate if you feel well in mind and body.

There are many studies which have shown that doing physical activity can improve mental health. It can help with better sleep, happier moods, give you more energy and help you to manage stress, anxiety or racing thoughts.

Physical activity can come in all shapes and forms. You could pick a team sport, go to the gym, or go for a walk with friends – there is really something for everyone. The Students’ Union is home to 30+ sports clubs that offer a mix of recreational and competitive opportunities and they’re well worth checking out! Royal Holloway Sport has pay-as-you-go memberships, group exercise classes and regular drop-in sport sessions, whilst our Egham campus is just up the road from Windsor Great Park, and there are plenty of walking routes.

Our Wellbeing team. The team has recently expanded and are here to support all of you with your wellbeing. We are on hand to answer any questions you might have and we’re here to help co-ordinate the right support for you, should you need it. Follow us @rh_wellbeing on Instagram and check out our pages on the intranet for general advice and sign posting to support services. I’m also pleased to be able to share that we have signed up to Togetherall, a clinically managed online community to improve mental health and wellbeing. Find out more about Togetherall below.
