There are now only two weeks left of the autumn term, and many of you will have assessment deadlines to meet. With the holidays on the horizon, it’s hard to stay focused, but it is important to ensure that in these last few weeks of term you stay on track and ensure you submit your work on time.

That said, it’s also important to take planned breaks, and there are lots of seasonal events to enjoy away from your studies, including our Festive Market, on Thursday 30 November. The Market is taking place from 12 – 7pm in Founder’s Square and will host live entertainment, festive food and drink, arts and crafts and the return of the ever popular reindeer. I will also be switching on our Christmas Tree lights at 5.30pm - I hope to see you there.

The festive season is a time for giving, and we’re making the most of the  season’s generosity by taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge. The Big Give aims to raise £50,000, to support scholarships and work placements for students. Every donation made from Tuesday 28 November until Tuesday 5 December will be matched, doubling the value of every £1 donated. You can support The Big Give by coming along to the launch festival on Tuesday, there’ll be lots of activities to participate in, such as a bake sale, campus-wide scavenger hunt and a photo booth with Colossus.
