On Thursday 4 July, the UK will be holding a General Election. In order to have your say in the future of government, make sure you have registered to vote before Tuesday 18 June. If you received a poll card at your current address in May, there is no need to re-register.

When voting, you will need to bring a form of legitimate ID. Be aware- workplace ID cards and student cards are not accepted as forms of ID. You must bring a piece of identification from the list on the Electoral Commission website, otherwise you will be unable to vote. Click here to find out more.

If you do not have an accepted form of ID, you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate on the Government website: www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate

The nearest polling station to our Egham Campus is in the Student's Union building, if you are unsure where your closest polling station is, you can find out by visiting: wheredoivote.co.uk
