On Wednesday 18 October Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal and Chancellor of the University of London will be formally opening the Emily Wilding Davison Building. If you’d like to be part of the party who welcomes Her Royal Highness as she arrives let us know by email and we’ll get in touch with more information.
The opening does mean that, for security reasons, the main building will be closed to general access from 9am to 4.30pm on the 18October. The Union Shop and Santander Bank, as they have separate external doors, will stay open all morning and closed from midday until 4.30. This is a one off, the building won’t close again until Christmas!
Where possible please try plan ahead and visit the services in advance. If you have urgent enquires on the day the Student Services Centre, Careers & Employability and the Library will be available on the phone to provide assistance. The Library will also be providing alternative study space in the SU Hall. Full details of how to contact the teams, access study space and return books will be on the intranet.
We will keep any disruption around campus to a minimum, there might be some small diversions to pedestrian routes and car park 12 will be shut. Any diversions will be clearly signposted and well managed.
