Statement on working for team: Coming back from my Year-In-Industry, I wanted to get straight back  into the student life. One way to do this (And to be able to stay in-the-know about all the goings-on and events of campus) was to be in Hall Life! This role has developed my leadership, confidence and  appreciation for the RHUL community. I would highly recommend!

Statement on working for team: This is my third year working with Hall Life as I continued my studies    at Royal Holloway for my postgraduate degree. The reason I have stayed with the team for so long is    because of both the opportunities working with Hall Life offers on both a personal and professional  level. As a Duty Officer I have been working with students on an individual basis helping provide  resolutions to issued whilst living in halls, but most importantly, helping students adapt to life at  university. The role has been incredibly rewarding and has taught me skills that I can apply at a  professional level in my career in the future.

Statement on working for team: I am a third-year student and this my first year working as a Hall Life assistant. Hall Life has been an amazing opportunity and life changing part of my time at Royal Holloway. I have been able to develop my interpersonal skills and team working skills whilst making amazing friends and meeting new people. The Hall Life job has been easy to incorporate alongside my degree and the shifts are very flexible. Matthew

I study: Accounting and finance

Statement on working for team: This is my first year working for the Hall Life Team. I joined the team because I wanted to contribute to a better university experience for students and make the years at university the best years of their lives. As a duty officer, I have been able to support numerous students across their university lives. This includes advising them how to perform best academically to supporting students with homesickness. I believe this role is highly rewarding as it allowed me to help those wanting to take their first steps into their adult life. One particular memory was seeing a student that I helped struggle with homesickness in their first few weeks and then seeing them at the Student Union at the end of first term having the time of their lives.
