Phishing campaign update

On 16 April, IT Services shared details of a phishing campaign which has been reported across the University. For students, this came in the form of a job advert, appearing to be sent from a member of staff.  

We are now coming to the end of this incident, and we are supporting those who responded to the email, but we wanted to outline a few ways you can get support you if you experience a similar scam in the future. 

• If you ever provide personal information in response to a scam, you should report this to Action Fraud. Find out more via their website.  
• If you need any help with password reset and security information on your university account, you can contact the IT Service Desk. 
• If you have concerns and need support following a scam, the University’s Wellbeing team and Money Matters are on hand to help.
